Oh dear. I have to admit to looking for the most evil book I own from nursing school. I can’t believe I even care so much; thank you Miss Herrema, I am a grammar and proper structure addict. I’m working on a project for work and suddenly, to my dismay, I cannot remember squat about a proper reference! So I spent more time than I care to admit looking for my, *gasp!*, nursing research book and the APA publication manual that was nearly attached to it. *smacking my hand to my forehead in disbelief* I think I must be getting ill…all this talk about Master’s degrees floating around me and now this…ack.

So it turns out I’m allergic to gold. Who knew! I had allergy testing done this week and so far have not figured out what the mysterious thing is that is causing my hands to be raw, itchy, and bleeding. My final results will be Friday, so maybe something will be evident then. Hopefully I’ll still have a job! :)

I’ve got a permanent butt print in my couch after sitting on it, wrapped in a blanket, for the past week. Augh. I do not like being sick. I’ve developed unusual strength in my clicker finger and scared myself when I nearly panicked due to a less than 30 second cable outage. Certainly with the amount of tv I’ve watched this week, I’ve dropped my IQ by several points a day. What a lot of trash. Thankfully I feel much better, though I do have lingering mucous in my head. Somebody tell Spring to hurry up and get here!
this makes me wish I was still in Minneapolis! I miss being around such fun Svenska activities. :)

I’ve been home from my winter adventure for 5 days now and figure it’s probably time to do a little post. My trip home from Madtown on Friday went much better than my attempt on Thursday. Word to the wise, when they close local schools that haven’t been closed for a snow day in 5 years, that’s a sign. And surely not a good one! I couldn’t see across the street let alone 2 feet in front of me while in the car. Oh well, obviously everything turned out fine in the end. Though the snow did bring out the freaks…

I had a fabulous time visiting my favorite Minnesotans! I wish I had more time to visit. I didn’t even get to go to the Hopkins Antique Mall; one of my very favorite places to visit. This all only means that I must go back! My dear friends made my birthday such fun :o) Too bad the number had to be so big.

Just kidding! We aren’t really going to China after all! It was all a ploy to have you dumb people buy more of our piles of concrete! look at this…

augh.  I’m stuck in Madison, the weather is gross, and I’m sick.  :(  I LOVE Madison and sooo wish I could be out enjoying it right now!  But this cold has my energy down and the roads here suck.  Poor Åsa has gotten slightly stuck several times today with all the snow that has been left in the streets and parking lots.  In the Paneara parking lot today, some poor guy had to push me out of the snow so that I could get into a parking spot!  Paneara even closed at 2 pm today so their employees could get home because of the weather.  Oye, we have been spoiled this winter, haven’t we?

So, I guess I’ll go back to sipping tea, popping echinacea, and watching the slightly stupid, yet strangely entertaining, america’s next top model.  Does anyone else think tyra banks is a freak??

Dang I wish I had the energy to go eat some yummy turkish food on state street!  I miss the curry chicken and lentil soup…

OH JOY! It’s snowing like CRAZY here in Madison and I don’t have a shovel, dontcha know. (well, I AM just journeying back from Minn-e-sota!) I don’t know if I’m going to get out of here tomorrow as we are expecting nearly a foot here in Madtown and just a little freezin’ rain in the general vacinity of my home going path. :| I didn’t really need the weather to make this an adventure. poo.

So, I decided to drive to Minnesota for my birthday. what’s the big deal?

Well, so far it hasn’t been a big deal, thank you very much! :) Yeah, there’s some snow coming, but I’m not scared. It’s suposed to snow in the winter ya know. Anyhow, I left sunny Michigan this afternoon and started my trek by crossing the big ol’ state of IL. Tomorrow is the exciting state of Iowa. Yeehaw! Strangely enough the clouds and dreary skies set in as soon as I got into Indiana…a sign? I think so!

I was jonesin’ for a nice hamburger from a local brew pub this evening. Only they had to close at 8:30. Is it me or is that a bit early? I was annoyed. I did manage to sniff out a butter burger after the let down though. happy

now for the disturbing news of the day…

ok, my thoughts for the day. Obviously ol’ thing on her face lives in a different state than I do. she sure has some lofty ideas to help her ignore all the jobs the state has lost. see state of the state
